Our Vision
Moxie is a complete community. Walkable, playful, and authentically Lockhart, where the coffee artisan knows your name and go-to drink. Where open trails, greenways, front porches and parks create the most magical moments of connection in the seemingly mundane. Where joy is expansive. Where the mix of people is as eclectic as the mix of homes—small lot cottages, multi-gen with ADUs, townhomes and backyard homes. A little bit of something for everyone who’s ready to make it Moxie.
location
Lockhart is ideally situated just 30 miles outside of Austin, and 60 miles from San Antonio. It’s the small town that you crave with the convenience that you need. Big city jobs and big name concerts are within reach, but you’ll be far enough away to see the stars in the night sky on your drive home. Somewhere between weird and the Alamo, Moxie will be the ideal home for growing families and astrology enthusiasts alike.

Lockhart, TX
Lockhart—it’s the L in LTX. We love our hometown so much that we put in our logo. A place in Caldwell County, Texas where small-town charm still exists and the cookie cutters have all been thrown out. Lockhart is seeping in history and embracing originality at every turn, and that’s why the new home community of Moxie is the perfect fit. Lockhart is home to the oldest operating public library in Texas, and is known by many as the “Barbeque Capitol of Texas.” Cared for by the Tonkawa tribe before us, meaning “we all stay together,” there is a place for everyone here—artists, entrepreneurs, new collar, blue collar, long-timers, first-timers and even downsizers. They all bring their own stories and a special heartbeat to this place, where choosing how you live is as special as where.
Community Map
Moxie’s focus on community gathering is supported by their extensive plans for open spaces, trails and parks. The community will re-imagine the way neighbors connect with each other, with their natural systems, and with the greater community of Lockhart.

Open spaces + natural connections
A pathway of open space drives the Moxie layout. Homes with front porch views, walking trails, and onsite schools along major greenways contribute to the walkability and connectivity of the community. Moxie will bring back to life previously buried watercourse, helping relieve the pressure on overburdened stormwater and sewer systems, while also providing habitats for wildlife. An estimated 20% of the community will be dedicated to parks and open space.
