Our Vision

Lockhart is ideally situated just 30 miles outside of Austin, and 60 miles from San Antonio. It’s the small town that you crave with the convenience that you need. Big city jobs and big name concerts are within reach, but you’ll be far enough away to see the stars in the night sky on your drive home. Somewhere between weird and the Alamo, Moxie will be the ideal home for growing families and astrology enthusiasts alike.

Lockhart—it’s the L in LTX. We love our hometown so much that we put in our logo. A place in Caldwell County, Texas where small-town charm still exists and the cookie cutters have all been thrown out. Lockhart is seeping in history and embracing originality at every turn, and that’s why the new home community of Moxie is the perfect fit. Lockhart is home to the oldest operating public library in Texas, and is known by many as the “Barbeque Capitol of Texas.” Cared for by the Tonkawa tribe before us, meaning “we all stay together,” there is a place for everyone here—artists, entrepreneurs, new collar, blue collar, long-timers, first-timers and even downsizers. They all bring their own stories and a special heartbeat to this place, where choosing how you live is as special as where.

A pathway of open space drives the Moxie layout. Homes with front porch views, walking trails, and onsite schools along major greenways contribute to the walkability and connectivity of the community. Moxie will bring back to life previously buried watercourse, helping relieve the pressure on overburdened stormwater and sewer systems, while also providing habitats for wildlife. An estimated 20% of the community will be dedicated to parks and open space.
