Red Oak is committed to building a new kind of master-planned community—where choosing how you live is as special as where. We create interconnected mixed-use communities that make possibilities happen for the people who will live, work and engage there, and contribute to a better life for neighbors and residents alike. With a promise to be a “purposeful disruptor” Red Oak continuously reflects on the impacts our community design and execution have on the places we create.
They do this by:
- Cultivating strong partnerships and working collaboratively
- Continuing to evaluate and integrate consumer trends
- Creating diverse mixed-use communities that add value to their regions
- Focusing on “place” and social connections, not just lot production
- Ensuring long-term viability by creating strong returns for our investors
- Being good stewards of the land—creating spaces that work with the natural topography of the environment
Project Size
700-acre community with approximately 2,500 homes at buildout.
Community Planning Principles
Genuine Community Gathering: Moxie will foster a unique sense of community with keenly designed areas for connecting with neighbors including parks, trails, open space and The Crossing—the Moxie town center that provides places for the community to meet, break bread, or share a drink. Onsite schools will be placed along major greenways to further facilitate connection.
Diverse Lot Segmentation: Moxie will provide a diverse mix including low density, non-traditional cottages, and townhome products. Alley-loaded homes will feature front porch views of active green spaces, trails, and beautiful streetscapes. Larger front-loaded homes will be strategically placed along lower-traffic rights of way to minimize curbcuts on high-profile streets. This diversity will allow residents to stay in the community forever, rightsizing or downsizing depending on life stage.
Walkable Community Connected to Nature: Moxie prioritizes creating a safe, walkable community where everything from the detention ponds to the streetscapes is deliberately designed to allow neighbors to interact with nature and each other. An estimated 20% of the community will be dedicated to parks and open space.
Artistic & Eclectic Details Matter: There is only one Moxie. And it’s because of the nuances and little details where it comes to life the most. Colors, textures, and energy combine to create a place that is unmistakably Moxie, and where moments become memories that last.
Authentically Lockhart: Embracing the small town charm that Lockhart has to offer. Buyers are still weary of high interest rates, making it even more important to create a community—and a story—that appeals to how they want to live. In a new community in Lockhart, buyers can be enveloped in small town grit and charm, while having an easy commute to Austin (just 30 miles). In Moxie, we’ll capture the old Austin spirit in a uniquely Lockhart vibe, and marry it to the benefits of modern conveniences.
